Preparing those drawings took me five hours in total. I started with importing image file and continued drawing using vectorworks "wall tool". It took me a while to match wall styles and windows / doors, but the most time consuming was creating sections and annotations as rogram slowed down severely.

Office is located in the old Victorian building. I wanted to highlight certain features of the space - brick wall with mulli0ns, wide wooden boards on the floor, beams on the celing. I wanted to create character of space giving the feeling that refurbishment is not complete yet. Space should be somehow raw, honest with materials, clear to grasp. Exposed bricks appear in various places, there is the same color of wood on the floor, window frames, cabinets and beams. Newspapers on the walls give feeling of "unfinishness". Steel frame aside its construction function brings also aestetic to the space and connects different parts of the office.
Neutral colors of the walls and calm wooden elements are balanced by color accents - green chairs, orange carpets (also indicating working space, providing clear boundaries), red lamps.

Space is enlighted by theatre like reflectors. Several sources of light provide good quality of light needed in the work space but also give interesting shadow effects at rich in textures surfaces of brick wall, raw plaster and wooden elements.

The Small Office (03/09) - brief description

This is a project of the office for small company - packaging wholesaler. Office is located in Victorian building and should provide working space for two people - Company owner and her secretary. In the office there should be also located meeting room, which will be used occasionally by sales representatives for meeting with clients, small kitchen and WC accesible for disabled people (WC position on the plan was determinated by location of SVP). Given space was a square 7mx7m with height of 3m. There were mullions on the walls and beams on height of 2,7m.

It's a small company which main goal is selling certain products hence crucial issue was communication among the owner and her secretary. They will usually work together, talk over the phone with clients so it will be good if they can hear each other and be aware about all business matters happening arround. Owner's office is connected with main office by wide glass sliding doors (which can be closed if owner needs some privacy), so they will be able to have an eye contact. It also gives the feeling of openess of the space - and leaves the rythm of the windows visible. Part of the division between two parts of the office is solid and provides screening for the owner working at her desk, so she is not exposed for everybody who enters the office. Secretary's working space is located next to the window - for usage of natural light if possible. There are file cabinets located in the walls. There is also a wall between office and kitchen / WC area. Behind this wall is also space for coats and little storage.

In the corner there is meeting room located, separated from the office with glass doors on steel frame - which was used to build other walls. Glass wall gives also screening for the kitchen.

Height of the space is amost 3m, but there are beams, which are used as a guidelines for dividing the space - for better articulation some similar looking elements but not necessary for the construction were added.

Perfume Shop (01/09)

This is a project of the perfume shop belonging to chain of perfume shops. At the beginning I focused on researches on perfume types and ingridiends used in making of the perfumes. I decided "to create" for purpose of this project simple description of "new brand of perfumes". Main goal was to create experience of perfumes - to show differen types, feel honesty of the materials and ingridiends, focus on the fragrances avoiding bright lights for sharpening of the sens of smell.

The new brand will contain 5 groups of products representing different smells: fruity & flowery sweet fragrances (pink), water & sea fresh fragrances (blue), woody & mousk fragrances (green), citrus & fresh fragrances (yelow) and oriental fragrances (with main nute of vanila, orange). Each group will be marked by graphic symbol relating to main ingridiends representing the smell.

Because perfumes are luxourius products I decided to expose these on plinths (like jewelery) and accentuated by colour (light). Line of plinths with testers on one side has its reflection in shelves on the oposite side of the shop (products in packages). Materials used are simple and honest silky surface of walpaper with deep blue satin pattern, terrazzo reflexive grey floor, natural brown leather on shelves and counter, blackened birch cladding on plinths and counter, polished steel holders for perfumes on the plints. Details are reduced for better exposition of perfumes - noble and sofisticated goods. Space is strongly divided into two parts - plinths and shelves accentuated with light (hard wood vs. soft leather), joined by counter usinng materials from both sides.

Glass fassade has blurred surface showing only perfumes on the plints for giving feeling of mystery and attracting customers outside.

Stairs are touching exterior walls and wraping kitchen and bathroom blocks. There is a void between 1st floor passage to the bedroom and stairs to the 2nd floor which allowes sunlight to penetrate dining area on the ground floor. Each step is made from 3 carved pieces of different wood - for estetic and safety reasons (more trackable surface).

CUBE HOUSE (10/08) - first draft solutions

5th proposition taken as final. After few tries with placing walls in different angles I decided to remain with perpendicular solutions. Kitchen is located close to the centre of ground floor what gives more space for entrance area opened with green column (45o angle) to the living room. Celing elevates over dining area and piano supported with the round colour (blue). Stairs wraped around the kitchen lead to upper floors. There is a void over the dinning area up to skylight in the roof what allowes light to penetrate all floors. Bedrooms are extended with additional space in the niches over bathroom and one of the bedrooms.

1st draft solution. Project evolved through several solutions including placing walls at different angles.

CUBE HOUSE (10/08) - introduction

The first project on the 2nd year of Interior Design was about designing good spatial solution for cube house (7x7x7m). Brief demanded to locate kitchen and bathroom (both 2,4x2,4x2,4M), two bedrooms, dining & living room capable to host grand piano. Kitchen and bathroom must not touch external walls, stairs should be minimum 0,8m wide. 3 given types of collums must be used as well.

I began to work first using Google SketchUp preparing few solutions in the first stage:

Best solution (CUBE HOUSE 1E) was transferred into VectorWorks 2009 and this software was used to create final project.

There was the competition for perfect dwelling. The subject was to design sustainable house located in "Crissy Field" in San Francisco. Project should be well adjusted to surrounding area but also fulfill certain conditions - sustainability, limited area (up to 232 m2 - 2500 square feet), cost efficency, etc. Main purpose was rather to show abillity to use Google SketchUp software. Inside the "lighting box" - conference room (sliding door open). Walls are covered with enlighted squares - users may hung a map or documents on the walls and enlight them for better view.

Project was prepared using AutoCAD 2006 (floor plan and section above).

I decided to locate kitchen and toilet on the left side, office space in the middle and conference area on the right side of the portacabin. All rooms (except toilet) have windows alowing natural light. Kitchen and conference space (place to meet the clients) are separated with sliding walls - which can be folded. Work space is directly accesible from outside (there will be only two people working there), separated conference area alowes occupiers to meet their clients in private simountaneusly. After folding sliding walls all office is transferred into less official space usable for socialising (occupiers may use their office for less oficial purposes).

PORTACABIN - paperless office (05/08) - introduction

It was the first project directly relating to interior design. The task was to design an office for two specialists sharing one place. They needed space for work, meeting clients, kitchen, accessible toilet. Brief demanded spatial solution providing mentioned areas, proposition of interior and exterior decoration expressing occupiers' proffesions and location. Office were to be located in the portacabin (11,5 x 3,7 x 2,5m).

At the very beginnig we were asked to select three-dimentional structure from the street and make three A3 drawings from different points of view. From flat drawing 3d object should be made - using shapes drawn in perspective as acctual shapes of new walls of 3d objects. Next stage was creating new fused obejcts made from previously created models.

It was a 3rd solution for the brief (out of 6), later chosen as final. First sketches were made in Google SketchUp 6.0 and later polished in VectorWorks 2008.
